Gundato Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Is anyone aware of a way to get IL-2 BoS to let me map two axes to yaw? My rudder pedals map each pedal to a different axis rather than sharing one and I haven't figured out a way to configure BoS to have one axis for Yaw+ and one for Yaw- Thanks 1
Sokol1 Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) Use Joystick Gremlin and merge the two pedals axes in one virtual axis and assign this new axis in IL-2:Bo'X https://whitemagic.github.io/JoystickGremlin/ Edited December 9, 2019 by Sokol1 2

Thomas_ Posted December 25, 2019 Posted December 25, 2019 Hello, I got the same issue. I just downloaded Joystick Gremlin and I tried to merge X rotation and Y rotation (my 2 pedals) into z rotation. I tried it like you did on the video but it didn´t work. Can you please let me know how did you manage to make it work for you please ?

Can you please let me know how did you manage to make it work for you please ? Did you manage to see it working in Joystick Gremlin, i.e. the pedals moving as a single axis? Can you see the vjoy device in usb game controllers in Windows, you can test it here (make sure you have activated the profile in Joystick Gremlin - it should say running down the bottom on its status bar) The tricky bit is IL2 will likely "see" your actual race pedals device before the vjoy device. The way around this is to use the Input Repeater function in Joystick Gremlin (Under Tools). Turn this on go into IL2 to bind the axis. It will find your race pedals when you press them first. Then retry but don't press your pedals, the vjoy axis will be presented by the Joystick Gremlin repeater function and it will see this. Accept this. Then turn off the repeater function in JG and you should be done. Edited December 27, 2019 by PO_Baldrick
Thisdale Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 (edited) This is a bit old, but i'm stuck in the same situation now and somehow, i can't get Gremlin to work properly. Whatever i do (merge or split) the application itself gives me zero feedback whether what i did works are not. And IL2 doesn't seem to ever "see/hear" the repeater. Is there a video out there that better explains the steps? this is driving me nuts. Essentially, i'm using Fanatec Clubsport v3. So my X and my Z (gas and clutch) are to become my left/right rudder. I merge my X and Z into Z Rotation. Then what? Doing the active, repeater and all that doesn't help il2 detect the "vjoy" input. how do i know if it works? Even my Game Controller Vjoy detects the Z Rotation as split Left/right. ARG Edited April 27, 2020 by Thisdale

If the repeater doesn't work well, after you confirm Input Viewer is correct you can edit the data\input\current.map in notepad++ to change the assignment to "rpc_yaw_p" manually.
Exodard Posted March 10, 2021 Posted March 10, 2021 I found the solution! For me Input repeater was not working because it would only send one pedal, so only the upper part of the axis, while IL2 is waiting for "turn right" then "turn left". So I set Input repeater, pressed the right pedal fully, push the "retry" (bind button) in IL2 waited a bit that InputRepeater sends its part and then slightly pressed the left pedal, so that Input Repeater simulates the left part of the merged axis without the actual pedal being "detected" by IL2. And it worked.
