How is everyone enjoying the performance?

I like the performance of the game. Right in line with the rest of the series. Sometimes it gets a bit choppy around Arras and a furball but that is to be expected. Even with my 1080 TI SC and i7 OC'ed, it can put a nice tax on the system.

it's fine for me!

I'd always love a few extra fps, but as far as flightsims go it's one of the best fpswise (for VR imho!)

I dont have the VR, I use the trackIR but I hear the VR is amazing. FPS seems much better than ROF of course DX11 has a lot to do with that. Definitely looking forward to more areas, more planes, and other goodies!

I found VR got choppy on my old rig (1070 OC and Ryzen 5 1600x) but now silky smooth with RTX 2070 Super and Ryzen 3700x. My new SSD also really helps with load times. The front in 4K maxed out looks incredible now on the Rift S.

Simming isn’t a cheap hobby! I’d have got 5 actual flying hours in for my new kit.

I'm still pissed to lose the smooth, stutter-free Variable Refresh Rate performance that we used to get until an update a few months ago, so meanwhile have to stick to target a lower fixed fps (100). Gsync is pointless like this.

I just use the vsync since my monitors refresh is 60hz. I still play on a 1920x1080 because while it isnt as sharp, I do like the FPS in it. That does stink about your Gsync though. I thought about getting a Gsync capable monitor and just letting it rip to see what it does.

I have a Free Sync monitor but don't use the option as it is maxed to 90 fps. I've never had an issue with tearing. Clouds are what limit my fps. Don't have too many issues over cities unless clouds are present.

I keep my cloud detail level one notch down from the top end and get goot performance. If I unlock my vsync doing a QMB with the following settings:

8x8

Over Cambrai

700 M start

Clouds Heavy

All static objects checked on

7 AM (to get dawn effect)

I get at the lowest 120 FPS but average around 140 in the furball. Not too bad as Cambrai is very heavy on the buildings.
