Also there are issues with your TrackIR5. And we still recommend you to set your Nvidia card by default for the game. I dont use 3rd party input. I dont think? Its plug andnplay? When i run.msinfo32 it says my card is nvidia. How can Intell of Il2 is using it. If it isnt howncan i force nvidia to be used. I tried doing the google.instructions. Also i do not use steam Note the dont delete read only. Id onlyndelete the files they named?? Anyone? Please Im begging you guys for help Again..
S10JlAbraxis Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Not sure exactly what the issue is with controllers but from your last paragraph is seems part of what you are saying is that your system is using the built in Intel graphics chip instead of your Nvidia card. If this is the case the best solution is to go into your mother board BIOS and find the option to disable the built in graphics then Windows will only see your Nvidia card and use that. The other option is to open your device manager and disable the built in graphics chip there. However the first option is the best. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much Take piccie, load it into paint (a windows utility) you can then edit it for size or even save it as a lower level format ie convert bmp to jpg or gif to reduce the file size requirement. Then if still too big 7zip it down. Of course with lower format it may be harder to read. Cannot make out your issue from your request. I am guessing your machine is using the integral card rather than the gtx1050 shown. As said above that is usually a bios alteration you need to make to disable the internal card. Dont think it can be done from devices and hardware (never had PC integral graphics) although you can for sound cards.

Regaedless the integral.card DID run it without me noticng it wasnt running nvidia thoufg I definitely wud prefer the extra frames. I put my.sysyem.specs here. I also followed the google instructoons on changing vid card preferences. If that didnt work Idk what to.do? How.do I tell.if its even being used? Msinfo32 says it is? drivers are updated. So if no other options work.to disable.graphics card anyone know? Can i goto settings and like check disable.device or.. I just want this tonwork. A legit copy.of il2 at the same time.same.comp.worked. it stopped wprking suddenly. Now pwgc doesnt work! Yet qmb. [DBS]Browning Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 Can you provide a picture of the back of your PC please? The physical back, where all your wires go in/out. 1
BornToBattle Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 ...and so you performed the first four steps as suggested by tech support? I see the response from tech but how was your original ticket addressing the problem submitted (issue)? You state “Career mode issue persists.” What exactly is happening with it? Are you referring to a hardware issue or software issue (these can be sometimes hard to decipher though). Sounds like tech support was originally addressing a software issue with having you do numerous uninstalls but then drifts into peripheral (hardware) devices as well so perhaps it’s just me, but I’m a little confused here as to what the specific problem is with Career Mode (unless I missed it in your post). 1
Sublime Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 Yes I did perform the first four steps. The read only statemenr perplexed me as I only.deleted what they said. I dont use 3rd psrty software. My.trackir works.fine but I made sure to upgrade to latest drivers? Ah Ive made multiple threads sorry ot not be clear Everything else works but when I select career mode.it goes to the screen yet the flags and nation names dont appear. Tbe loading circle spins endlessly Ive left it for hours. It requires ctrl alt delete to escape. Then PWGC failed for unknown reasons a week or two later. All other modes work and I dont thi k the 2 issues are related. Also Id love to know how theyre able ti determine if Il2 is using what video card. As of now I cant tell if what Im doing is working as I set "global settings" AND include the game as a prpgram.to use nvidia on and they were saying it wasnt being used.. 1 hour ago, [DBS]Browning said: Can you provide a picture of the back of your PC please? 56RAF_Stickz Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 (edited) As borntobattle says, it is very difficult for us to understand what the fundamental problem actually is. If your second piccie is msinfo32 output, its not actually saying that its running the nvidea, its saying that you have two video displays, gtx1050 and the intel630. From internet you can disable the internal GPU from control panel /device manager. Gives you a disable option.Have you disabled that? Apparently it is not possible from the bios. Also seems that there is also a nvidea 3d setting (I have radeon) where you can set preferences for a game to use a specific graphics card. You have a global setting and game/program specific profile you can setup. Suspect this is because if the internal graphics card is globally isolated your laptop batteries wont last very long using the nvidea without mains power. And I think that the rear picture is to determine that you have the nvidea graphics card output connected. Sorry apart from that I am in the dark. Sorry postings passed each other Edited December 8, 2019 by 56RAF_Stickz

Well I set global settings and its still not working? No Id try to disable.to integrayes csrd.. if someone can tell.me how So what can i run and where does it say what card is beingnused How.can I disable.the integrated card? I set my.nvidia following advice from.numerous googled answers and youtube videos. I dont know how i could.possibly.force it more i dont have a gun to threaten it with. Also any other ideas? Thanks.
56RAF_Stickz Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 (edited) This is guess, a) set a profile for the game that uses the nvidea Also it seems you can disable the intel from control panel - system - hardware - device manager tab for display adaptors. That will list both. Click unwanted and disable (at least on window7). However I cannot see how this would just effect career. Its just what they found from your ticket you sent in. And a gun aint gonna force anyone to do anything. Edited December 8, 2019 by 56RAF_Stickz
Sublime Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 Disabling my integrated card didnt help. Weirder the tv i got it plugged to shows fine but the laptop display is somewhat normal but not showing dekstop icons visible on my tv. Anyways odder still the disable.and enable buttons are greyed out! I cant turn back on to my.alarm! Only updste drivers is avail with worries me Nothings messed up further plugged my tv with hdmi in i was able.to berify it uses nvidia on my tv display. But no progress. Career mode still just sits
56RAF_Stickz Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 (edited) ok lets start again, you got the intel card disabled. And you are getting a windows (or game) display on a tv. But on laptop display missing icons. That suggests that the laptop dont have the resolution the tv has. ie laptop is lower resolution. Afraid dont know which dis/enable buttons are greyed out (the alarm?) I really do not think the career mode problem is related to a graphics card. Do single missions work? Or are you saying the career mode icons are off screen. If the game is coming up on tv and looks ok, then career mode problems are either a setting or missing part of install. I believe you said you did some of the suggested deletes that help line/support suggested - have you updated game since, cos it will need you to do that (not talking about reinstall). Sory gotta go, dinners arriving Edited December 8, 2019 by 56RAF_Stickz spelling 1
Sublime Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 Yes. I noticed since pullong out hdmi cable reverte laptop to normal. So nvidia card is def in use when plugged into tv. Im concerned i tried running game on a sp mission to jist make sure and it froze. Retesting Runs fine.. not career mode
yeikov Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 With the suggestions given by the tech support, I'd try a simplified setup to identify where the problem is: unplug your TV, controllers (joystick, etc) and TrackIR and try the game. If it works, you have a problem with one of those elements, you can try plugging them back and testing them one by one until you see which one causes the game to freeze. It may not be related to your problem, but I would not recommend to connect TrackIR through a splitter.
Sublime Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 Ok. Firstly i can easily put something elae on thw splitter thx.for that. I guess thats an idea Ill habe to.try. i hope its not it because i cant afford to lose any input devices. Period. Its XMas and I have an 8 yr old.son I dont have money for another joystick or trackir. But better to know. 30 minutes ago, 56RAF_Stickz said: ok lets start again, you got the intel card disabled. Its not resilution i really did disable.that card lol.so my laptop.basically dies graphics wise or goes disabled if i plug my.hdmi in and its using nvidia. For sure because I can select display 1 ot 2 in settimgs. Yes after the suggested deletes indeed starting il2 immediately caused updates to begin etc. I agree i toldn1c I dont thinknthis campaign mod thing is a prob. I had another copym(legit that 1c knew about) of il2 on my comp.same time.and career wrked then on that
yeikov Posted December 8, 2019 Posted December 8, 2019 (edited) I'd leave the splitter and the headphones disconnected just to give it a try. If your controllers worked before they probably still work. Did you do any changes in your setup recently? Edited December 8, 2019 by yeikov 1
Sublime Posted December 8, 2019 Author Posted December 8, 2019 No thats whats so confusing. I have had the same games and setup since june! Further as I said career mode worked on another il2 copy same time! (And its a legit thing) i cant use the 2nd copy anymore now and Im devastated. I cant play MP like that sometimes and I may be cut off from.MP soom And pwgc stopped working. I believe the issues are totally seperate but holy.cow i got depressed fast. thank god for vanders mission generator

yeikov Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 The display options are controlled in Windows configuration menus: go to Start > Settings > System > Display Go to Multiple Displays and choose the way you want your two screens to display: only one of them, extended mode (seems to be what you have now), or duplicated. https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/4340331/windows-10-set-up-dual-monitors 1
