Hownto get Il2 to work offline?

Im having a sort of housing crisis. In a month I may be homeless.  Hopefully not.  Nevermind all that thougg - just in case - hiw can I setup Il2.so I can play with no net?

When you are at the login screen just choose offline. Simple as that.

If you have BOS from steam, you can make a shortcut to the ...bin\game\il-2.exe  with your steam folder (I am assuming you can find that). I think you might have to log on once through the 1C server though(?), then select offline play. -- that is a way that lets you bypass steam if you want (I have it for a backup myself), and it may help you in your case.

 

If you want to do campaigning though, you will need to use PWCG as the in-house campaign generator requires an internet connection - it actually generates the missions on their server, then sends back to you (Patrick's does not).

It is pretty easy with Steam, I already had that. You can enter Steam in offline mode, select the game, select offline mode in the game, too and play. Updates don't matter, because you are offline, neither your Steam, nor your game account will know there was an update, so you can play in the old version. You just don't get updates. You can off course not play MP and career, but if you have downloaded it, you can play PWCG.

But I really hope everything runs well for you and you won't need that.

in steam yes, but I think you cant play in offline in non-steam game if the patch is ready, but maybe Im wrong

If you are offline the game wont recognise that there is a patch.
