HTC VIVE no sound

hello .

i have no sound  , how do i fix this please ?

Somebody wrote about that 1-2 days ago, it is about switch that shifts sound to hmd when you start vr game - then you need to use headphones (plugged in hmd). 

I do not have HTC Vive, but it is similar. Try to find in steam vr settings what will be with sound output in game; Speakers, 

headphones pc, or headphones HMD.

i found the solution by going to  steam settings/audio then selecting other . not vr headset . i did'nt switch , i dont know how this happened , maybe through an update default .

Windows does some silly stuff with speaker assignments, as does GeForce.  Every GeForce video driver tries to reset my speakers, and Steam VR has some head-phone re-assignment utilities built-in.

 

Just be sure, in your taskbar, that the right speakers are connected when you start Steam VR.
