Hi all. I posses 4 modules in the "Great Battles" series (Stalingrad, Moscow, Kuban, and Bodenplatte). I installed the game in my computer, at home, and I can run the game as often as I want… but very soon I'll spend a few months at somedy else's place, in the South of France. Do I need to move my computer? or, on the contrary, can I procede to a second install of the game in a computer that belongs to my family, in the South of France, so that I only need to move my HOTAS and my TrackIR?

I'm 99% sure you can install a second copy to an another computer.

To follow up on this question,  I have 2 installs, 1 for VR and 1 for non-VR.  Each have their own settings.  The concern comes with updates.  Will the launcher in each install properly update each without interfering with the other's settings, etc.?  Until now I have had to do a copy which sucks.

You could use JSGME to swap the startup.ini when ever you want use VR. No need to have 2 installs.

I have two installs on the same computer (different SSD drives) with two different launcher and exe shortcuts on my desktop with zero issues updating.

In my case, moving from one city to another, I guess that I really need a second install in a second computer… I need it, right?

Salut, une copie de ton IL2 Setup suffira, pour reinstaller le jeu sur un nouveau ordinateur.

I gues that the above only affects users who have two installs in the very same computer, one for VR and one for non-VR (as user "VBF-12_Stick-95" has). Very shortly, I'll leave behind both my home and my computer, and I'll arrive at a different place where a different computer will be available. My question is… what about that "JSGME" thing? will be helpful to me? I guess taht the answer is "no"...

Yes, that was my reading of the situation: I will need a second copy if I want to run the game in a second computer.

Merci ;)

All that matters  is the online login. You can put the game anywhere and it will run if u can log in

Interesting idea however there are more than just the startup.ini involved, including the uninstall of Reshade files.  It is still possible but creates some other issues.

I've both Reshade and startup.ini for VR set for JSGME. Very simple for startup.ini. With Reshade you need to run the game first, set up reshade in-game and then move the files to JSGME folder.

As long as only one copy is used at the same time (online log-on), it should be no hassle.
