My understanding is that a BOP would be a very large undertaking in time and money. Out of the possibilities of Jason and his team.

The game is a big challenge technically but money or financing a dream is one of the most difficult challenges.

So let's see how much are we ready to invest in a dream.

I would be happy to expend more than 100$ if that makes the game viable but I don't know if everybody can do that.

I’d guess more than a hundred buck would price you out of the gaming market. You’d make more money per license but sell considerably fewer units resulting in less revenue overall. I’m not terribly concerned, though, this team seems to have a very good handle on their market/audience in this regard. It, also, doesn’t seem that finances are an obstacle for the project unless something has changed recently. It’s still the technical side of things. A better question is what would you be willing to allow the team to extrapolate on the technical side and still consider the Japanese AC to be ‘high fidelity?’ Actually, I think I might start a thread with this as a premise.

Back on topic, I voted a hundred bucks even though, from a marketing standpoint, it should be $99.

Funny that you bring that up since it's 100% true. People see 100 price tag and say it's too expensive yet drop it down do an odd number like 99 or 9.99 and suddenly it's affordable. Odd how people think.

Depends very much what bells and whistles we are talking about. Just imagine for instance the Zeros chasing you all the way back to your carrier ?

Nevertheless, still a welcome expansion of the GB franchise.

There should be intermediate options between 50 and 100, I would pay 70-80 as the current products.

Exactly - I chose fifty because I would absolutely be willing to pay 50$. I would also be willing to pay 80$ - but not 100$.

What does "Pacific Theater Game with all Bells and Whistles" mean specificly?

Just one theater, or all the maps/ core aircraft accross the entire PTO?

I would be willing to pay up to $75 for a basic module with say 5-6 planes per side including  1 or 2 AI bombers(no heavies) and a few collector planes and just a single map of say Midway or Guadalcanal with the ability to take off and land on an aircraft carrier of course. From there they could follow the same recipe and bring a newer module every 6 months or so if possible and charge another $75 for that.A full blown Pacific Theater sim would be a huge undertaking in terms of time and money needed. As far as documentation about the japanese aircraft, this meaning that the flight models wouldnt be 100% accurate, I think this is something we would simply have to deal with, and I for one would rather have them like that than not having them at all. I support this sim and the decisions the team has taken up to this point, but I do believe the next step forward demands a move to the Pacific(if possible of course).

It is interesting to see from the poll (thanks to those that answered) that waiting two years for a title like this one is perfectly OK.

Pricewise it is also clear that 100 US$ seems to be the upper limit.

We do not know how many copies in total are being sold, but for sure we must be a small niche market. This would also put a cap on how much can be invested to develop a title. I wonder about how large is this community that keep the ball rolling.

Not more than for any other theatre. As to when? When they think they have the technology necessary for that. Kuban setting painted for New Guinea is a nogo for me. So my bet will be not before 2025.

I'd be willing to pay up to $120. But only if it had as many features as any other GB module, (map, good plane set with flyable bombers, ground/sea assets etc).

And I'd gladly wait two years for it to be done.

DCS might be getting a Zero before Il-2 ever will.

The Vote topic did say ALL bells and whistles. In my mind that would be several Carriers & ships as well as many flyable fighters, torpedo planes, dive  bombers and Float planes.  As well as several new maps.  If they started a couple years ago I expect it to be completed in three years with early release of content this fall.  ?

I would go up to $140 to ensure it happens, basically doubling the usual fee for tripling the content.  ?  I'd even buy tank crew to help
