Strange navigation in KG.51 262 career.

Wonder if someone else can confirm this behavior for me, but in my KG.51 career, when the AI is navigating to target, the flight lead will random make a circle or figure-8, rapidly losing all speed and scattering the formation if one has managed to form before this point. This has occurred on two missions now. 

 

Also, shouldn't the non player aircraft be spawned with the inner guns and forward armor removed mods selected? Currently the spawn with two bombs and no mods, and the player (if he doesn't intervene) spawns with only one bomb, and no other mods selected.
