Fern Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Anyone else notice the difference in clarity and and performance between the old maps/planes vs the new bodenplatte? New maps: Blurry Ghosting planes I dont get any of this in the old map plane sets with high settings. Will it be addressed? My specs: Rift S 5700 xt Ryzen 5 2600 16 GB memory
dburne Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 I can't say I have noticed much difference on my end, only have about 4 hours in Bodenplatte though so far.
=BES=Senor_Jefe Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Yes, but only in the form of major FPS hits and stuttering. Sounds like you might be experiencing ASW kicking in, but it’s all due to dropping FPS and frametimes.
Fern Posted November 28, 2019 Author Posted November 28, 2019 Right. But why is there such a difference between the two is what I'm wondering. I just did a clean windows install and only have the game installed. Also on a separate SSD. I'll see how it works when I'm done eating turkey.
SCG_Fenris_Wolf Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Check out my thread in the sticky section. May help you. What you experience is performance related. Steady high FPS are important for a clear picture in movement.
Fern Posted November 30, 2019 Author Posted November 30, 2019 I did the startup config and went into steam. But there's two sliders: Custom resolution (100%) and and the other is set at 150% (preset for my GPU 5700xt) Contacts look better and more clear. FPS are in the 30s though.

Either because ASW was off or because there were no clouds on the map.
