Vanishing effects? Can TFS increase the particle limit so this doesn't happen? Video.

Although it is now 9-years since 1C closed down development, Team Fusion Simulations have taken over work now. Their latest release is v4.57 but sadly there are still issues with effects just popping out of existance. With creative editing it is possible to get around these but if you aren't editing but playing in-game, effects vansihing absolutely kills the immersion. So here's a short video showing the effects in 4.57 popping out of existance and then reappearing a while later. I hope the team can fix this, work some magic or do something to keep the impressive detail visible.

TF is working on improving the visibility distance at which objects appear.

 

We will be extending the distance on the new Tobruk map to roughly 3 times the distance of the original map.

 

And the blending of the object visibility will be improved.

 

The older Channel map is unfortunately a different situation as it is still heavily bugged as a result of the poor work of the original developers.  We will try to improve the effect there, but it may require a new version of this map to entirely solve the problem.
