I was just on the Thursday fly in, Game crashed. I don't know how you can't go on comms, I get way to lonely and bored to death, just not for me. Think I might need to start or join a squad. Hate flying alone.

There were project in ROF  called "Aviators of War - Birth of Aerial Warfare" is a pure multiplayer campaign set on the western front during WW1.

It includes RPG elements for example:

 

 -The campaign will be progressing in time and so the planes available will also change.

 -promotions

 -tracking of statistics/rankings

 -Wounding in action or captivity can end a pilot's career.

 -permanent death of a pilot

 

Also we aim to simulate real life circumstances as closely as possible:

 

 -formation flying

 -absence of radios

 -realistic missions (not all missions will result in contact with enemies)

 -consistent plane stocks for squadrons with supply only coming in realistic quantities.

 

I signed up , but sadly it never go into full run, primary because of the time - dusk of ROF.

Those guys behind the scene could be active here , they for sure like the idea of ww1 without comms.

This could work as a multiplayer dead is dead coop campaign (against AI).

I like the idea of commless servers, not sure if I would want it that way all the time but for certain events like squad v squad meets for sure!    More fun using flares, waggling wings  and making hand signals anyways.imho.  I have not tried yet with FC (waiting for release on Steam) but was fun doing in RoF,  I do hope it is easier to see hand signals tho.
