Alternate to the Reading List Suggestion

OK, I think this might be a better idea. How about a banner at the top of the Forum header page that says something like, "Welcome to the Il2 Sturmovik Forum. Before posting in the forum please read the Developer Blog and the What We Know So Far sticky. Answers to most of your questions can be found here. We are delighted to have you among our company and value your participation in the simulation and our forums."

 

A nice banner with (miniature screen art as the background) directly below the  Il*2 above. ^^

 

Better yet would be a pop-up page with this message. Like Jason's thank you message in the game. Click-able so you can turn it off after the first viewing.

"Click here to return to the forum."

 

I know it won't solve all of the repetitive questions but it might solve some and it would be a single source to point to rather than chipping at the new guys.
