IL-2 Cliffs of Dover Blitz upcoming North African expansion All components shown are WIP. The current foliage is a placeholder, there will be multiple bush types, with different colours. The Trench lines and fortifications are also Alpha, and will be altered to provide a more natural look. Hello sevenless Some of the changes will be incorporated into CLIFFS OF DOVER, but some will not. For example, any weather system changes will be added to CoD. But in other instances, as for example the dust effects... will be limited to the TF 5.0 Tobruk map... because the large amounts of dust generated by vehicles and aircraft were a particular feature of the Desert and are not seen on grass or paved airfields or on the hardened or paved European roads. Later we may add changes in the code to allow for dirt airfields on Northern European maps, but not for TF 5.0. 3

Avimimus Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 The effects look really good. One thing I've wished as an ability to pick among effects in this sim (i.e. an option to keep the original effects and terrain colours). I've never been one for big fireballs, or for high-definition fire effects - they often don't give me the sense of high explosives or aircraft fires for me... it is largely a matter of preference though (I'm by no means certain that my preference is more realistic - even if I suspect it sometimes, I could be biased). So it is nice to the subtler special effects in this video.

You will see the sand colour when we post updates with bomb explosions on the Desert map. 2
