[APAF]VR_Spartan85 Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 On combat box... tailed a 110.. took some rounds to my oil system, lost pressure after a few minutes, engine died. Gimlied it to near by runway (Y-29)..on approach realized since no Engine for hydraulic system, I only had pressure for my gear to drop... tried flaps down after to make sure and no dice... landed safely with no flaps deployed but was excited to find that the hydraulics has big effect on my decision making for landing...had I dropped flaps and then gear I wouldn’t have been able to retract flaps if I needed to... i believe the gear would have gravity dropped... not sure? anywho.. havent flown in a while... was awesome! 6
SvAF/F16_Dark_P Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 Yes you should have a emergency gear realase, a red handle beside the fuel selector that unlocks the fairing doors and releases all hydralic pressure, but it is not modeled in game 1
DEDMANcjp Posted November 21, 2019 Posted November 21, 2019 (edited) Hey spartan85. As a side note. I was working in Red Lake , Ontario the night the Gimli glider ran out of fuel some 30,000 ft. above us. Damn good save Air Canada pilots.
