Fantastic write-up, you captured the strong points and weak points equally. If I was looking for a flight sim to purchase I would recommend this article to my list of research material as you included not only positive points but concerns as well. A person who is considering flight sims will get a well informed narrative from your review.

Good review mate... pretty much my feelings as well.

I think it was a wise move to put the aeroplane types that are available at this time frame for the initial launch.

However, I think if they do a version 2 they should go to the early 1917 onward plane types, as there is also a big following in that area too, and they must get more two seaters, even if they do them as separate 'collectors' aeroplanes.

With a Vol 2 I'm hoping to see the Handley Page and the Gotha bombers added to the mix somehow. I love all of the pursuit types but a couple of those "heavies" from Rise of Flight would really be an outstanding part of the aircraft mix.

Agreed. Vol 2 should be special edition 2 seater bomber.
