VR position to close to front of cockpit - help

When I am in VR and in a plane my virtual person is two close to the instruments/windshield.  is there a good way to solve that?

 

When I use TrackIR, I was able to save a head position that was to my liking which was a bit high and further away from the instruments.  I can try to do the same with using Oculus Rift.  But I wonder if it is better to move the sensors instead.

Move your head to whatever position you want to be default, press F10. 

Now use the VR Recenter button (NOT F10) to recenter to that position if it ever goes awry.

Best to assign VR default view to a button on your stick,  it is under either pilot head control or camera.

You will see both default position and zoom there that can be assigned.
