Eisenfaustus Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Since Il2 '46 seems still to be uptdated, does anyone know wether there are plans to include VR support for this game at some point?
SCG_Meka Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 +1 On this... Would love for someone to implement this...
SAG Posted June 1, 2020 Posted June 1, 2020 I would love this so much! right now I'm using VorpX for VR but it is lackluster to say the least.
John_The_Bodge Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 (edited) I can't see it. Considering the view was limited even with TrackIR, it would probably be too much work for little return. I also used VorpX to get it in VR and was also somewhat disappointed. I really can't see what motivation they would have for doing it. Edited June 6, 2020 by JD_LincsUK
kraut1 Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Hi, since 3 month I am flying IL2 1946 mods B.A.T and DBW with opentrack / VorpX and Rift-S It works well, during ca. 80 campaign missions and many quick missions the game never crashed, the only thing you should not do is pulling off your VR Headset unless the mission is finished and the results are saved. For campaigns I am using il2dcg by Paul Lowengrin, the standard DGEN and the DGEN for B.A.T. with many, many extra campaigns. I have IL2 since 2001 and I am glad that I can use it even with VR. Best regards
=RS=Funkie Posted July 7, 2020 Posted July 7, 2020 just to confirm, in Vorpx you don't get stereoscopic vision in il2 1946 right?

In VorpX I have some stereoscopic vision when playing il2 1946. If you have problems with a gun sight or similar issues you can switch to 2D vision by pressing a key. In general I like the stereoscopic view but there are some issues that are acceptabe for me but maybe not others: -damaged planes and train steam engines: the smoke/steam trail might have some deviation to the object. -some clouds are stereoscopic but at some ranges a bit artificial. -when pressing the trigger there is some "flickering". for me acceptable, can be reduced by switching to 2D. I myself like VorpX, it works well on my computer. But on other computers there could be major problems. Best regards
=RS=Funkie Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Interesting! Sounds like its worth checking out at least. thanks!
