Hello there.
I'm new to this forum, but hope to get some help and help others in whatever I can.

Been playing 1946 - CoD  - BoS for some time and others Flight Sim, with my Saitek X-55, I know they are knowned for worn cables in the Throttle Base, but I've any issues in that matter.
Since I've started flying VR (Oculus Rift S), first time as well, I've started having some ghost buttons going on randomly, well causing to lose canopy (109), gears and flaps going down so all kind of issues, and it seems to be affecting just the Throttle base. Already change from 2.0 to 3.0 front panel usb and rear and still have the some problems sometimes e even lose the signal have to unplug and plug it back in
Never had any trouble before VR so what could be causing the problem. I'm not 100% sure but I think I get more random clicks when dogfighting and turning my head around a lot, but could just be me.
My system:
Windows 10 1903

Mobo - Asrock Z97 Extreme 3

Cpu - I5 4690k @ 4.5ghz
Ram - 8gb DDR 2133mhz
GPU - RTX 2070 Super

Several people seem to have solved it by using a powered USB hub (which is what I'm using... and I have no issues).

X55, X56 = always with powered USB hub, nothing else. It's been always like this.

Thanks for the reply, just ordered a 4 Input Powered USB hub to see if solves the problems.
I'll leave some feedback later.
