Now we have point in multiplayer for each team (500)...but still only 25 Minutes per match. This is not enough time to actually get stuff done if you are not rushing towards the enemy. And do the points actually work? Never seen them below 500 or are these based on ground units active?

 

The AAA and AA is still a PITA for slow flying aircraft, 80% of the time I get shot down by ground forces and I don't even hear the  impacts, which is also really bad.

 

The Pe2 reticle is barely visible and can not be switched to the open sights on the right side of the gun.

 

Out of curiosity, did the Pe2 only have 2 gunners of which one has to switch between belly gun and tail guns?

good job with clouds, will be interesting to know if dev., will introduce a combination of clouds depending of the atmospheric conditions

I was able to fly, climb and land with the Pe2 with 2x500kg Bombs and both wings clipped.....that seems a little bit too optimistic

I don't think there's going to be a 110 in the foreseeable future. Hoping for a Hs-129 at some point though!

 

You're right - I keep thinging there will be a ME110 in the release - must be wishful thinking.

 

I too would like a HE129 after flying it around in 1946 & I'm sure the BoS group would make it into a even more of a joy to fly.

I doubt it. Shooting the Bk3.7 or bigger guns with those ruders...forget it

Hi West,sorry for late answer,I missed your post.I do not know exactly but it was quick.So maybe those 198mb anounced by others.

Few tricks that always work for me with new updates>

 

1.Be patient.Do not try to download update immediately after Zak anounces it on Friday afternoon.Usually I wait till 20:00 GMT+1 (my timezone in Slovakia)

2.Before download,delete previous update folder from X:\IL2BoS\updates

3.Untick seeding until your game is updated.After succesful update,you can tick it back again.

 

Peshka is a dream come true for me.I used to fly it a LOT in old sturm.And she behaves in very simmilar way.Taxi,take off,landing.It is a beauty.Yesterday I did not have much time to try it out.EU expert server was hopelessly full,so I switched only for one run to US guys.High ping of 180 but I hope I did not lag.Firts flight I got one messer with rear gunner with no problem,second messer got behind me,took a beating and crashed,but my left wing was off.Managed to crashland behind enemy airstrip and survived

Currently, the game is not much fun. Server is going down so often, that a proper f(l)ight is not possible and the plane breaks apart by looking at enemy aircraft.

Does someone fly, like me more than 30 minutes, and get big stutter/lag when going down to the airfield or the ground (less than 100M) after that?! It is a recurring problem I did uninstall and install the game because before this when I made a screenshot the game made two files in place of one?

It seem my copy of BoS doesn't want incorporate the updating, and no way to make it working. I rad all the comments, instructions and tips left in this Forum, but I'm still stuck at the starting line. In short, when the launcher is activate, the update folder get populated by 302 Mb of data, then  it doesn't happens anything else.. and no matter how long I keep myself waiting for something... nothing happens. At this point I don't know what else I can do.... should I manually copy file from folder update to the game folder? remove BoS, and install it again? throw away my PC and buy another one?.... some help, please?

In case of big problem of a update of this game for me the solution has always be to uninstall the game "Windows"  control panel helps you there and then go to the program folder and delete all the game folder an install the game again from scratch. For me it works just fine!

I seem to be having some problems too.  The warning window after pressing H to get rid of the HUD does not allow the checkbox to be ticked or for the window to go away.  The game also locks up while in flight, and sometimes the mousepointer appears and all contol inputs and tir cease to work.

In this case you need to compress to zip and attach data/update.log in some thread (or start new thread) in Technical issues and bug-reports discussion forum. However, if launcher is not looking for updates and game doesn't warn that there are updates, then game is updated already to the latest version.

Something I do wonder about is the clouds mentioned. We have seen clouds for two weeks now... What is new about the new ones?

Well, Pe-2 is available in Quick Mission Builder and multiplayer modes, there are no specially designed scenarios for it.

If you can not find it in QMB, then something is wrong. Otherwise it is normal state for now.

The new clouds will be added "pretty soon", maby a couple of updates from now, just guessing here.

I encountered the exact same problems twice.

Thought it had to do with Joy2Key....but seems to be a bug.

The compass is on the left hand side. When flying in the dark, you cannot see the compass. It's not having any lighting as the other instruments have.

The game locking up seems to happen to me about every third update or so. It happens so often I have to wonder if it isn't part of the testing process. What or why it might be of use I don't know.

 

The Pe2 is a treat to fly. It seems very stable and quite maneuverable in ground attacks.

Me too.  I think the trigger is at 150m
