Deacon352nd Posted November 14, 2019 Posted November 14, 2019 As the title says, can PWCG be used to set up a campaign for a group of human pilots in a dogfight setting. What I am looking for is a vehicle to make a series of missions for my friends.
Stonehouse Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 I think perhaps competitive co-op is as close as you can get at present. It will run as per a co-op mission though so participants would need to be in mission at the start etc. ie you won't get the dogfight mission functionality of join in progress and respawn etc.
JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 (edited) Hey Deacon I have been using the PWCG for my squad and I can tell you it works great for small groups but not for large ones. Theres also some bugs with it that needs to be addressed...but over all if you can get the sweetspot set in the settings you can have alot of fun with it... Couple of the bugs that I noticed: 1 Wheels come down in some random Human planes and they can not get them to retract no matter what they do. 2. I'm hosting the mission and I have all the settings set so that I can full control over my engines but I don't, although other do have control of theirs. 3. I'm not sure but the PWCG separates you from rank in the game screen when joining and picking your plane and not by the Squadron your in.. 4. I had players just drop off a minute into the mission starting but Im not sure if the was the PWCG or their connection. Edited November 19, 2019 by 361st_Bugsy
PatrickAWlson Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 Not to sound defensive, but I don't think that any of those are under PWCG control. Not being able to retract gear, not having full control over engines, and dropping is just not something that can be controlled from missions if I wanted to. Number 3 I'm not so sure what you mean, so that one might be something I can work
JGr2/J5_W0LF- Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 It was weird Pat to say the least. I had random pilots not able to retract their gear. We had 4 squadrons flying this COOP Competitive Mission and I would say 3-4 pilots just could not get their gear retracted. These are all experienced pilot and had no problems before or after the COOP mission. 2. I've stated it before in your thread I dont have control over my mixture settings in the cockpit but others did...the moment I stop flying the PWCG everything is normal... 3. Yes we had 33 players in a single mission and I had added all of them based on their info that was given to me. The part where I had to add their rank, well that how the mission placed them in the pick your plane screen. They weren't separated by Squadron.
