I've put a small remark about the SE5a Compass in the complaints section:

 

 

Maybe I should post it here too.

Has any of you guys noticed that the East and West are mixed-up on the SE5a?

I think you pointed this out to me last week in game. Which was hilarious because somehow I'd been flying around without noticing.

Well done FlyingShark, this has bugged me for some time, but do you find that on some maps East and West are correct and other maps not?

My head is going round and round, LOL.

I don't think it's map related, it's more a mistake on the compass itself.

WW1 (&2) RAF compasses were notoriously shite, so maybe it's just a representation of that!? ?

As long as the sun is up I find it more reliable than the compass for the East, West stuff.  Especially when I have a panic on, which is often, LOL.

Well, in that case, maybe instead of asking for a fix we should ask for the North and South to be switched too?

Coz they didn't historically? RAF compasses, however, were famously prone to this.

The problem however that I was pointing out to is that East and West are in the wrong place on the compass, has nothing to do with where it spins to.

It's effed up... it's not a representation of an RAF compass going wonky put there by the devs... a bug it certainly is!
