Commander periscope in T-34/76

Can we use the commander's/gunner's periscope which is placed on the turret roof of T-34/76 UVZ 1943 model just in front of commander hatch?

In the inside view it does not seem to be separate periscope but somehow connected to the telescopic sight in front, is that right?

I tried various controls combos and cannot find correct button to get this view.

Press shift+t to look through the gunsight. Press shift+t again to look through the periscope.

Just press the key for the gunsight view a second time. It is the same for the KV-1. When you press it another time, you are back in your turret inside view.

Cybermat was faster.:good:

So simple, somehow never managed to press it more than once, even by accident...

Thanks!

TBH, I did press it several times more than once, but didn't realize what it was. Then I read it in another thread and tried it myself.:)

How do you turn the periscope without the turret?

I use joystick control for mine and have not been able to work it out?

Note I have only just recently discovered the second Shift T thinking it just gave a greater magnification when zoomed in.

You have to bind it. Its the same Key you use for turning commanders cuppola on M4 Sherman. At Keys, Tank Keys all the way down near the compass.

How to use the Periscope...

T34

From gunners position

Left Shift + T to look down the sight then Left Shift + T again. Originally I thought that this was just a more zoomed in view.

When in this view use "Visor Horizontal Adjustment" My key settings which I think are default is Right Shift + , (comma) and Right Shift + / to swing left and right.

You will see in the top right of the screen the number of degrees you have moved the sight from the original point.

To re-set back to the centre (I assume where the barrel is pointing) "Reset Visor" Right Shift + ' (apostrophe)

M4A Sherman

From Commanders position (closed hatch)

Left Shift + V (Nestle to visor)

Right Shift + , (comma) and Right Shift + / to swing left and right

Right Shift + ; (semi colon) and Right Shift + . (full stop/period) to move up and down

To re-set back to centre - Right Shift + ' (apostrophe)

Panzer IV

From commanders position (closed hatch)

No periscope but Left Shift V gets close to the visor. Then repeating Left Shift + V moves clockwise around the turret to the other windows at right, right rear, left rear, left, front.
