BOBP P51 D skins wont load

hello

i recently purchased BOBP and i loaded some P51 D custom skins  , All appeared in game . Then today they appeared then suddenly when loading another skin it stopped accepting any skin both custom and default  wont appear ,further the aircraft looks blurry in hangar and the game wont exit easily , i have to use ctrl alt del to exit  , same reaction in career mode . its the first time this happens  , never happened in the other BOS BOK BOM . i just did a test loading a P38 and the skins appear , no blur . the problem seems to be with the P51 D , can someone pls help ,rgds

Funny, i loaded the new Pat Wilson Mission generator, and according the Skins interface there are quite a few missing in BOX; never had that before.

 

Checking with a 3.201 backup i made before shows some missing, loading the folder after the 4.001b update

 

Maybe you have backed up your former skin folder?

Also if you have the extra skins you installed some where, you could copy them again, see if that fixes matters, if it's only those that won't work.

Is there a tool for IL2 to fix that?

i just did further attempts and this time it suddenly started working and the aircraft is not blurred in hangar , the default skins load normally while mine load but i get a double warning that the skins are too big  yet i have 4K skins setting on . The template with which i did the skins is the official one . I'm wondering wether i should reduce them to 2 K ?

I have no experience with that, maybe post this in the MODs folder, seems not a bug to me ...

i converted the skins to 2048 and now i dont get the message . So why are the 4K causing issues ?
