Battle of Rheinland Career Bomber Escort

I've been playing the Battle of Rheinland career both as a Mustang and Tempest pilot, and the Bomber Escort missions seem a bit stupid. The bombers always seem to be flying at 6,500 feet in broad daylight on cloudless days. It's like suicide as you're well withing range of all sorts of AA fire and the fighters are diving down on you negating any advantage your fighter would have. The same goes for the fighter sweeps. At least in the PWCG your fighter sweeps are being conducted at 17,500ft. It's like the low altitude Eastern Front fighting has just been trasnsplanted to the Western Front and was called a day. Are the Devs planning on fixing the altitudes at which these missions occur or should I just stick with the PWCG?

Usually AI interceptors will get annihilated when attacking bombers.

Its good to hear that they can now shoot down some bombers whats flying straight line.

Its hard to believe but ok.

I would stick with PWCG.

I suspect you are right Elmer.   It is the eastern front career mission templates just ported over to the BP career.

I'm having a lot of troubles with BOBP career mode; intercept reconnaissance planes out of the map, attack aircraft that are parked on the ground (in meadows and forests), five bandits chasing my FW 190 with a 500Kg bomb hanging down...

I started my P-38 carrer and I have exactly the same feeling. All flights during the first phase was planned to be flown at 1 km...

Yeah, it's especially annoying when you fly the Me262 and the recon planes you're supposed to intercept turn out to be a flight of Spitfires...:scratch_one-s_head:

Unless the Spitfire pilot has fallen asleep, I don't think there is any way for a Me262 to shoot down a Spitfire, although in the Me262 it shouldn't be difficult to make sure the Spitfire won't shoot you down, either. In conclusion, such a mission setup seems to me pretty pointless.

Better stick with PWCG for the next months. The career mode may see improvements over the time, but this can take a while.
