Gun Controls

Hello All,

 

I'm thinking of buying TC, but it seems I can't configure the joystick to control the gun on the fast missions included in the free version.  If I buy the full game will I be able to configure the joystick to the gun?

You would have to use a program called 'JoyToKey'. By default it is not possible (yet?).

Thats bizarre, considering most of the playing population are likely to have been playing IL2 for years and have HOTAS.

I am using Xbox One Controller and JoyToKey.
If you are interesting I can share the profile.
The right stick controls the POV.
It works both great for Tank Crew and Planes.

Thanks, But I've managed to map it ok now.  However, now I don't seem to be able to zoom in the view when nestled to the gunsight.  I've fiddled with various pilot head zoom etc mappings.  Is it impossible to zoom the view, or if not, which key mapping does it?

I did not try joystick, in my opinion Tank controlls better use Xbox controller. With left stick you control the movement and with right stick, with help of JoyToKey you control the point of view.

No idea if JoyToKey supports joysticks. Sorry ?

If you ever decide to try using a gamepad controller, PM me and I will try to help you configure it.
