jollyjack Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 And those bombs look like these Cooper Eggs, but at least they do something .... 2

jollyjack Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) LoL. But this one fits the bill alright; a Flying Circus on its own (1) ... BTW got curious, just installed Rise of Flight, the free version.... Graphics not quite as good, planes look OK though. But there's a lot of similarity. Why don't the two (competitors?) work together? Edited October 31, 2019 by jollyjack added

Why don't the two (competitors?) work together? They pretty much are. As J28w-Broccolli notes, it's the same people. There are a lot of changes to the BoS engine, so too much divergence from RoF to BoS. However, every plane in FC was in RoF and it's not a coincidence. In effect FC is the start of porting RoF to the new engine. That process requires better 3d models, better graphics, integration with the new FM code, integration with the new AI code, updated cockpit models, VR support, etc. What was done for RoF gives a leg up to the development which s why FC was done relatively quickly, but it is still a lot of work. 3d models and skins are the least part of it. Guarantee you the atmospheric shell strikes in no mans land was pulled straight from the RoF code. Hopefully we get some of the other RoF goodies like the photo recon and artillery spotting capabilities. 1
1PL-Husar-1Esk Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 I like the dynamic of the bomb explosion in RoF, the same how plans are affected by the blast , FC is not yet there.
jollyjack Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 IMO some also 'peaceful' attributes and activities like Red Cross, should be welcomed, also in Kuban, Stalingrad and Moscow ... 2

Motherbrain Posted November 3, 2019 Posted November 3, 2019 I was thinking of the S-22 just yesterday. Porting over the two Ilya Muromets aircraft, the S-22 and the S-16 and the Ukraine map would make a nice little Flying Circus Vol.2 pack. Especially for the Russian peeps in the community.

Right, but those planes are for the 1916's campaign. During that year many early war planes were operated over Eastern Front. While 'Ilya Muromets' add-on was dedicated to the Brusilov's offensive, the RoF plane set was better for the Kierensky's offensive which took place year later (and that could be covered on the Tarnopol map) Yes, I miss the EF map, too

I'm not wasting money on these again. (unless Plank buys FC) 19 hours ago, 1PL-Lucas-1Esk said: Yes, I miss the EF map, too I don't Edited November 26, 2019 by J5_Klugermann
