Zeev Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 (edited) Hi, Unfortunately there is no sale for collector planes in this website and there is a good sale in Steam. I tried to buy there the collector planes but it demands that I have Battle for Stalingrad on my steam account. Is there any way to buy collector plane on steam and link them here? Edited October 31, 2019 by Zeev
CountZero Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 I dont see how you could buy collector airplane on steam and then link it here, as they are considered as DLC so you cant just buy DLC without having main game ( and thats BoS on steam). So you would have to buy BoS on steam and then you could get collector airplanes from there. But there is no reason to do it like that, they have webstore sales freqently, and if not soner youll get probably same type discount in december, last one they had 50% sale on collector airplanes in september. 1
Soilworker Posted October 31, 2019 Posted October 31, 2019 Following on from what Count said it's also better to buy from here because all the money goes to the devs. Devs with more money = More IL-2 GB for us in the future. 1

If you have content from the store and content from Steam you have to: a) have Battle of Stalingrad on Steam, because Steam views everything as DLC or expansions to the original Battle of Stalingrad, and b) have linked your store account with your steam account You will be prompted to link accounts when you launch teh game through Steam. If you have any content on Steam at all and you want to be able to play with both your Steam and Store content, you need to link the accounts and you will always have to launch through Steam to get all your content. My advice is the same as Counts. Just wait for a store sale, they are frequent (more frequent than Steam sales) and all revenue goes to the devs. Not to mention you don't have to screw around with Steam and its crap. The only real benefit to buying through Steam is that apparently updates have faster download times. Here is the guide to linking accounts. Its the official source AFAIK on how Steam and the store now work together. https://il2sturmovik.com/m/SteamAndIL2AccountGuide.pdf Here is the original announcement for Steam, as of 3.004. 1 1
Zeev Posted October 31, 2019 Author Posted October 31, 2019 Thanks for the replies. I guess I will wait for a sale here
EffeDB Posted November 1, 2019 Posted November 1, 2019 Hello, I have the same problem: just bought a DLC on Steam and linked my Steam and Il-2 account, but it does not work. The airplane is available only inside Steam. If I start the game from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad\bin\game\Il-2.exe or C:\Program Files (x86)\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow\bin\game\Il-2.exe it doesn't appear. Moreover if this DLC is the default plane when I start from Steam folder without Steam interface, all its skins are blocked by a padlock. I even contacted the Steam support and they wrote me to wait the end of the sale period. From my point of view the Activation Code was a better way to manage this kind of problem !!!
EffeDB Posted November 5, 2019 Posted November 5, 2019 Today 1CGS support wrote me that: Wow! I didn't know that. So... We can use in Steam what we've bought on 1cgs site, but we can not use in 1cgs site what we've bought in Steam. Really a madness. ?
