I really don't know how to use this reshade filter in the new drivers. I need a tutorial. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Reshade: I am curious too, read some about it; don't think it's possible (yet?) for IL2 or Cliffs .. it  can only be used with games programmed for it.

But tuning tips for IL2 and a high-end RTX it GPU are welcome.

No problem. I’m curious how these filters work for BOX.

doesn't seem to do anything for VR...

Tried turning on this new option "Image Sharpening"... When using external view and quickly moving the view around (was following AI planes in dogfight), the planes are rendered weirdly... It isn't ghosting like on a bad monitor several years back, it looks more like a slide show when moving your view quickly around - plane mirrors few few copies of itself in the trail of the moving image. Best I can describe it.

Anyone else getting this?

Also, what is the recommended value for "Ignore film grain"? Sharpen should be left at 50, that much I know.

So does the nVidia Sharpen do essentially the same thing at the in-game sharpen feature? If so, is there a performance difference between the settings?

Just an FYI.  After I installed this version I tried IL-2 and was receiving down to 20 FPS off line with an EVGA RTX2080ti.  I found the install had reset my settings in PrecisionX1.  Fixed them and all is good again.

Precision X1 Has always needed to be reset after a driver change

I guess so. The difference being with NV sharpen not messing about my contact spotting. Because of that I don't use either in-game sharpen or Antialiasing.

NV sharpening looks so good for me, I'm really linking it. Much better than the in-game option.

Monitor.

VR works too but it's harder to tell if it's much better. I think it causes some flickering in the landscape (not too bad though)

Tried NV sharpening but got a lot of shimmering off the ground textures, so have gone back to in-game 'sharpening' which is a much more subtle effect.

The ground textures in VR look very photorealistic in the Arras map, twice i got the feeling that I was looking at satellite images till I realized it was just being sharpened. Other that some small shimmering, it's a very nice option to have.

Newer drivers out now for nVidia.

Normally I do not use the sharpening filters. I find that when playing in full 4K it does not bring much, at least to my liking.

I tested the latest drivers 441.12. The reshade has (with GPU scaling on, and Film grain to 0) a similar effect as the Sharpen filter in game for what is sharpening.

If the image is static no difference, but if you move around say with F2 then there is a very disturbing light intensity flashing on all the vegetation and map ground features.

The sky is not affected.
