Did anybody noticed...?

After the latest patch, I was very glad to see improved new behavior of AI fighters, in my favorite quick missions, where enemy fighters tend to preserve their altitude, energy and speed...

but one thing is disturbing: in a dogfight ( as Bf109-G6 vs Spit Mk IX starting at 4000 m altitude, for example... ) very often AI enemy, that I am chasing, goes into dive but after a noticeable dive - instead of turning up, they simply continue their dive till they hit the ground (?)  - without any visible inflicted damage. ( I remember the similar bug in CoD where enemy fighters would simply hit the channel without any visible reason, as the AI planes don't fell the sea/ground level ?)

Did anybody noticed that - or it is just my experience ?

The ai can also black out. Its possible that they try to pull out and black out in the process. Best way to tell if that is what's really happening is to have a recording and look if the enemy pilot fainted.

To answer your question, yes I have noticed that a couple of times. Looks like the ai needs to be tweaked a bit for new functionality.

Well, it cold certainly happen, but it should be isolated incident - instead of regular event...  You are right, it needs some tweaking.

I guess they try to pull up and as they were diving at high speed, they instant blacked-out. Nothing easier in this life than blacking out when flying a spitfire

I guess the issue here is that AI flies (and also taxies) in the way all or nothing. Throttling up with max power and going back to idle constantly. And the same with turns. They always fly hard turns, even for just a small change of heading. And they surely will try to do it the same way when they want to go out of a dive. Instead of starting slowly to pull and then increase more and more, they immediately pull as much as the plane can go, which would lead to a blackout in very high speeds. The AI Dev will have to teach the AI to fly more moderate.

Also in planes with effective elevators like Spitfire, AI tends to snap a wing at high speed, no damage needed.

There are no pulling up at all, they simply crash in a straight flight... kamikaze style ☹️

I did the same yesterday.  I went into a dive after an enemy  and decided it was not worth it and started to gently pull up but it was too late as my controls were completely locked and I could not alter my dive at all. I could only sit and watch my imminent death ?

You bought your ticket, might as well enjoy the ride!

I think one of the most chilling aspects of the sim is the frequency of what I term 'ohshit' moments, that is, when things suddenly and unfixably go south on you and all you can do is ponder your life choices and watch the ground rush up at you...

I find the ai blackout to be a very often occurrence.
I cant tell the difference between ai and human while attacked by them.
sneaky bastards attack like champs and evade in such a way you dont see them. But once you get engage in a dogfight you will eventually see it fly into ground if you dont shoot it down

but they really gotten good until that happened

Sometimes in a campaign , i dive after an AI pilot, cant catch him because he's faster, cant pull out as hard as him due to G blackout and cant climb with

him or catch him at all. They may have better technique than me in speed control and I just wonder how they do this and what I can do to keep up.
