SeaW0lf Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 (edited) Brief Description: planes are disappearing in mid-air / mid-course, in some patches of clear skies after the 3.201 update in expert visibility mode in Flying Circus (alternate visibility off). Detailed description, conditions: planes are disappearing in some patches of clear skies when approaching me around 2km, and then reappearing about to bounce, 500/700m away. It appears to be related to the sun position, which might spread the problem to different times of the day, positions and altitudes in relation to the observer. The rendering is extremely thin after the 3.201 update and the sun effect might be turning planes invisible. They are just engulfed into thin air and spotting in-game is extremely poor now. Additional assets (videos, screenshots, logs): I attached the videos below because YouTube is uploading with quality loss. I also attached the tracks to anyone who wants to test on their monitors. The graphic settings are as below. IMPORTANT NOTE: The bug happen both on my personal monitor, a Philips 298P4QJEB Ultrawide 1080p IPS, and my spare monitor, a Samsung BX2350 (the latter with lower graphic settings, but the problem remains exactly the same). Video 1 (Expert Visibility Bug Report Arras 01 / mediafire.com / 81MB): track recorded in a single player mission. It is a self explanatory video. I am using the icons to mark the planes at the beginning and near their disappearance. And then when they reappear upon me, usually around 500/700m away (with some delay because we don’t know where they coming from). Video 2 (Expert Visibility Bug Report Lapino 02 / mediafire.com / 58MB): track recorded in a single player mission. The plane on the left has disappeared alternately since the beginning of the video. The plane on the left only reappears virtually on top of me, already on the bounce. Download track here (mediafire.com). Summary: these bugs appear to happen in other instances depending on the position of the sun. Currently I have been flying zoomed in at 50/60% most of the time (it seems I am flying through a periscope). With this update, my spatial perception has been subpar, peek-a-boo style. The missions appears to have turn into people bumping into each other and flying low to identify people above, which is an inversion of the Dicta Boelcke in general. It would be very appreciated if this critical bug [at least it appears to be to me, in two types of 1080p monitors] are addressed as soon as possible. Your PC config data (OS, drivers, specific software): the specification of my rig is in my signature. My GTX 1060 6GB is with the latest driver (440.97). Edited October 24, 2019 by SeaW0lf 1
