Translator Media : mapping a key

Hi,

 

is it possible to map a key to trigger the media?

An example use case would be to present a  target on a detailed image .

I don't think so. I never saw anything like that in the editor.

Yes guess you are right.

I hoped for some lua script solutions.

So you just can trigger it on an event.

You could use a complex trigger to detect event OnObjectFiredFlare, which could trigger the media translator when you fired a flare (assuming you were in the complex trigger zone).

In cooperative missions I use the mcu server input through the console.

while we start the engines I show the objectives for 1 minute and repeat it as many times as necessary

Nice Idea.

I didnt played around with the mcu server imput.

I guess it works on a DServer only?

Well am pretty sure it is documentated in Jim`s great Tutorial.

Yes, the idea is for DServer and Remote Console. See "Allow a Multiplayer Server Administrator to Trigger an Event" on page 105 of the editor manual.
