Updating the mission editor

So I have been having issues with the editor opening maps. Is there away to update/reinstall just the editor?

What do you mean, you cannot import maps? I think you'll have to address height, texture and forests too; and the season ....

Season seems a bit quirky sometimes, JimTM had a tip somewhere to correct this with notepad in the mission file itself .../data/missions etc.

You may need to resave the missions you are trying to open.

 

Do the following:

1. In the editor Tools menu, click Resave All Mission in Folder.

2. Navigate to the folder containing your missions (e.g., \data\Missions).

    You can choose a high-level folder and the editor will resave the missions in that folder and in all the lower-level folders.

3. Click OK.

For the season issue, open the .mission file in a text editor and check if SeasonPrefix is set to blank. If SeasonPrefix is blank, set it to an appropriate two-letter value as follows:
    - wi – winter
    - su – summer, autumn

Resave, good tip indeed.

PS and you'll have plenty time to have coffee too or do the dishes, even walk the dog ... but it's good that the option is there.
