SE5a- only 1600rpm ?

Am I do something wrong ?  I can only get the SE5a up to 1600 rpm (level flight), shouldn't I be getting something like 2000 with the Viper 200Hp ?   I fiddle with the mixture to get max revs, is there anything else i should be doing to increase rev's ?

........and from the Vintage aviator, with a 180 Hp Viper (not the 200 HP one in FC) -

 

"A quick scan of the instruments shows everything is operating where it should be, perhaps open the radiator shutters a bit to keep the coolant in the optimum range and pull the throttle back to a cruise setting of 1600 RPM which gives about 95 mph ."

 

Note, the engine is reduced to 1600 rpm, after take off, rather than being it's full capability.

I was getting around 1850 RPMs  level, with auto-mix.

At sea level on the Kuban map (Autumn - ISA conditions), I can get to 1940rpm with manual mixture and reach 137mph.
