VSG1_Erlkoenig Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 hello, does anyone have experience with VR after an eye surgery with trifukular lenses? Does something change in the viewpoint?

Does something change in the viewpoint? Can you double-check your spelling of "trifukular" please? I doubt you are talking about moths or the like. Check these people and their technical support. They can advise you which of your trifocal layers is most important for VR focus; You can always buy inserts for just one of your focusing points and skip glasses within the HMD altogether. [DBS]Browning Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 (edited) You should use single focus lenses with VR equipment, not tri-focals. Your eyes do not change focus with any of the currently avaliable VR sets. All objects, near or far, are in the same focal plain. Edited October 18, 2019 by [DBS]Browning

Aye, but you have to know which focal plane to get lens cut for, that is, which of the three prescription variations should be used. The folks who made my prescription inserts for my Vive looked at my glasses prescription and told me which level to use. Send your written Rx to these folks: https://vr-lens-lab.com/ They can tell which one to use. I'm very happy with the inserts they made for me. p.s. You can use trifocal glasses under most HMD; you'll just have to adjust your PoV to make the HMD image clearest. 1
