Ace_Pilto Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Things have come a long way in the 1C camp. The AI is actually fun to fight now, opting to preserve their speed instead of indulging in suicidal turnfighting and occasionally making mistakes according tot heir skill level. Well done 1C! I'm impressed by your progress and commitment. 2 7
von_Michelstamm Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 I get why the Russians loved the p39 now. they used to be the epitome of target practice drones, now that they fight vertically and preserve energy, they’re much more impressive

von_Michelstamm Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 I think it had more to do with the big center gun and not having to rely on convergence distances than its flight behavior. I dunno though. It is more of an adversary now, especially how they well they dive with you. At least till they lawn dart ?

In the words of junior lieutenant Sevarin Arishov "Engine block makes good armor, then you walk home" yeah, my career persona isn't very funny ? 5

And as already stated it was pretty good at lower altitude. 2

It wasn't until 1943 that you even start seeing the Soviet planes catch up.

We really need that 1944 and the 44/45 period in the game. That is when the VVS really started to play their game.

In the game, without trackir the visibility feels too obstructed by the window frames. With trackir if feels better, but alas I haven't really gotten used to it yet, so the frames keep makibg me loose track of targets. I feel the same inside the P38.
Soilworker Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 Due to my Oculus Rift not functioning any more and having to send back my new Pimax 5K+ and being busy as hell I've only got to fly one career mission since the latest update but I gotta say I had a huge amount of fun dogfighting with the AI that time. Can't wait for my replacement Pimax so I can get back into it! CAFulcrum Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 AI has improved dramatically over the last year, and steadily, which means they are working on it steadily, so it's great to see the continuous rewards from their decision to hire an AI programmer. Career really offers some fun clashes now.
Ace_Pilto Posted November 8, 2019 Author Posted November 8, 2019 Yeah, I'm looking forward to some great careers/PWCG/scripted campaigns. It's good to see the attention to detail extending outside the cockpit in a current gen flight sim again.
