Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts playable alpha is out!

Followed the development for some time. It looks quite interesting. Like a modern version of Jutland1916/Distant Guns & Rule the waves II.

The more I watch the let´s plays, the more I want to get my hands on it ^^

Looks cool. I like the idea of designing your own ship. Its similar to WoWs but without the toxic MP.

That might be fun - been looking for a decent naval game for a long time. For some reason they never quite seem right to me. No more early access for me though: I have had enough of being an unpaid tester.

Have you tried Silent Hunter 5 with The Wolves of Steel mod?

No - I rather grossed out on sub games long ago with Red Storm Rising which is still one of the best games I have ever played. 688 Attack Sub was also good.

Why do you own every single il2 release then? Bobp, FC and TC are all in early access. Not playing EA these days might as well just stop gaming period.

When I started with this series years ago I had more time and patience. Additionally,  I decreasingly view this series as a "game" as such. More of an interactive history/technology lesson. So the lack of completeness as a game of TC does not bother me.  BoBp and FC are more DLC than EA: neither introduce any material new systems, just more stuff that works in the base game.

When I pick up something else, however, I am looking for a more polished product that actually works as intended. EA games that do not fail get released eventually, you just have to wait a little longer, often only a few months. Hardly a long enough wait to "stop gaming altogether".

God help me.  I’m so starved for a game featuring Royal Navy destroyers that I started playing world of warships.  Really nice models up close, and I never tire of looking at those V&W classes.

I went ahead and threw money at this.  It is in a very early developmental stage but I love naval games and I *hate* WoW multiplayer.  We'll see.
