bonne journée a tous.

hello to all, I find the planes seen from outside beautiful, but the cockpit much less realistic than it2 cliffs of dover as well as the landscapes.

Amazing for a newer game these graphics rendering problems.

good day to all.

Does he point to specific graphical problem, where we might perhaps help him? Or is just his opinion on subjective matter of how the cockpits are made?

Well I had the same view coming from cod into  GB flying bf 109. It is something about a 3D feel of instruments in 110 and 109 that gives that impression. It fade away for some reason after a while.

But I have a soft spot for cod german cockpits compared to GB still.

But flying in VR that completely went away.

What you see is what he said.

Aren't the internals 2k standard? even on 4k skinned planes?

He obviously hasn't seen the cockpits in VR....

The IL-2 Cockpits are amazing…..great love to details....they really look like the real thing. Best job by the Dev Team!

The OLY Thing which I wish to improve is change it from 2k resolution to 4k, that´s all, just keep the design and the look.

Thanks.

Well, I second that, about the 2K to 4K I mean.

I spend more time with the first person camera than with the camera from outside the plane, so while I like having some 4K textures outside the birds, I would appreciate it inside the cockpit much more.

I think it might be mostly a question of gfx engine used. After all, CloD cockpit textures aren't really high-res either (don't remember if they're all even 2k to be honest), it's just they sometimes look better than BoX ones in certain lighting conditions.

My quality benchmark are 3 pits of DCS warbirds, which were retextured and converted to deferred-lighting compatibility this year (Mustang, Dora, Kurfurst), BUT it comes at a price of being resource hogs. Their BoX counterparts might look somewhat underwhelming for me, but with BoX still remaining the king of eyecandy-vs-performance ratio I don't complain. In this gfx engine they do the job.

P.S. - one also has to remember, that cockpits in BoX are a mixed bag quality affair, with some older BoS crates lagging behind newest BoBP offerings.

I agree with that too, cockpit textures are 2k meanwhile external are in 4k
