Seeking advice to update system for Great Battles...

Hello, I hope I am in the right section for this.  I was given a system from my brother in law that is about 8 years old. I am hoping that if i update the video card, monitor and anything else this cpu can accept that maybe i can run the Great Battles series fairly smooth. Any information from the forum would be greatly appreciated. more than likely i only will have about $1000 dollars to play with. i have enclosed the system summary text. Thanks in advance, Mike

Then it would be easier to advice! ?
