Berimbau Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 When i get killed or had to leave the plane and land on ground, the game jumps to the lobby and the mission is finished. It annoys me a little that I can not choose myself when to finish a mission. Because sometimes I like to see the end of an airfight or would like to wait until the mission is successfully finished. I would prefer to decide for myself when I want to go back to the lobby. Sure, if i'm shot down the mission is over for me, but it's just a simulation and in reality a mission would continue. For example, this was always possible in il-2 1946. Also wonderful in 1946 was the animation of the running pilot after an emergency landing and that the AI pilots were strafing the grounded intact plane until it was destroyed. Anyway it is a great simulation and if you could consider this two very good things from IL-2 1946 for your next implements into Great Battles then it would make it even a little better. 1
69th_Mobile_BBQ Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 I always liked that after I landed in Il-2 '46, I could wait until all other planes had finished their action(s) - fighting, crashing, landing - and de-spawned before ending the mission. On one hand, it is nice to see the mission play out before getting the results. On the other, even if a pilot survived unharmed, a lot of those factors would be un-knowable to him unless he was directly involved, a squad mate didn't come home or he was made privy to the final combat report from command. Either way, for just the ability to spectate the after-flight, I kind of like the '46 way a little better. 1
