Hi

I have been having an issue for about a year now. My game would crash, and this would happen right after a got a pop up window saying "error loading object .xxxx" (not the same each time). Usually, this was preceded by a weird bug when in map view -portions of the map would become red squares when zooming in-out. I used to fix this by updating to the latest drivers. After the latest patch, it appeared again, I did a complete reinstall and everything seemed to work fine. However, after the hotfix, I can't play the game at all.

I am running an i5-6600k, windows 10, 16gb of ram and a Radeon 580 8GB card.

Attached are 2 crash dump files.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, something you may want to check. Reinstall  GPU drivers using DDU. Reset and delete all afterburner profiles if you use it. Stress test your GPU . Or GPU might be broken? Those d3d errors occurs usually when something is wrong with a hardware. Or corrupted drivers

Tried the DDU process. Do you recommend a good stress test software?, I have Heaven. Although it doesn't seem to stress my rig much even on even on Extreme.

Afterburner Kombustor is good way to stress GPU

https://www.msi.com/page/afterburner

Scroll down to download. You also need Afterburner program which is good for monitor GPU/CPU usage. When Kombustor is installed you can click that greyed out K to start stress test.

Have you tried older Nvidia drivers?

Thanks again mate.

Downloaded and tried Kombustor only failed on cpu burn, And would not run at all on the hard settings noted in the picture.

I uninstalled the drivers once again via your method and installed an older nvidia driver 430.86 from back in May 2019 (earliest I could find).

Ran IL2 again and had it drop out (the game) and go back to desktop with no message apart from the vanilla windows dialogue box stating the program stopped working.

On another note War thunder has been doing the same thing.

P.S the medium setting on Kombustor work flawlessly with out issue if that means anything?

Apologies for Hijacking the Op's thread btw please move it to where it needs to go if need be.

Very weird. Maybe next thing you want to test is another GPU? Do you still experience those D3D errors?

I thought so too Hartigan. Funnily enough I am not having issues any longer. I opened GPU tweak II and ran "Gaming boost" it cut a whole lot of windows processes as well as freed up memory and voila no problems... Well so far anyway. Can't explain it for now.

Will update shortly. Cheers for your help!
