Is there a way to revert the game to the version before the last little patch?

I know this might not be possible (and my apologies if this is the wrong forum).  I was getting really good VR performance with the mega-patch, it was fantastic!  Unfortunately that has gone away (and gotten even worse) with the latest little patch.  I was really enjoying flying all my new planes that I'd bought during the sale with the improved frame rates.  I noticed that the HUD wasn't even having much impact anymore!  It was very nice.

I am a bit bummed that now that improvement is gone.  Planes are again "smearing" in VR as they fly by like they used to before I overclocked my processor and GPU (and messed with a ton of settings).  If there is a way so that I could fly offline with the version before I would be grateful.

Thank you.

Ditto, I see smearing/ghosting regularly now, whereas before it was very rare. And that's at forced 45fps (I'm one of the lucky ones who don't suffer motion sickness).

I was loving having the ghosting gone.  I fiddled with my setup for hours to do that.  I learned a lot in the process, hah!  I overclocked my GPU and CPU for the first time ever, installed Oculus Tray tool, played around with super-sampling in Steam VR and OTT.  I had gotten everything to run very good in VR at low settings on a modest rig (6700k + 1070ti + Rift + 24 GB DDR4 @ 2133).

I just tried again to run the Battle of Moscow Mig-3 Scramble mission, a mission which used to run fine but force me down to 45 FPS a lot.  Now planes are ghosting all over the place where they never did before.  I used to run it on higher graphics settings too.  I was able to run all career missions before the latest patch on low settings at 50-90 FPS the vast majority of the time before.  It was great, I wasn't getting distracted with all the ghosting switching to low res graphics.

Anyways, hopefully there is a way to revert to earlier versions.

Sometimes after an update I (think) I suffer from reduced performance, after changing a few game graphic settings and restarts I usually go back to original or better fps/results more often than not back at same settings I was having initial reduced performance feeling

I do not use VR but I imagine the principles would relate.

Of course this could be  placebo and  I am talking out of my butt, but often the poor initial performance perception seems to be backed up by fraps evidence

Maybe worth changing a few settings and reverting to what worked before..?

Yes, I tried that already.  At least a few stabs at it at least, but even at lowest settings I am getting ghosting where I had none before on higher settings.  I'll try again later but it took me hours of fiddling initially to get this running well in VR so I'd have to set aside a good chunk of time in order to do that again.

I am just trying to figure out if it is just me, because maybe something else on my system has changed that caused this and it is not BoX in that case.

Just a heads up: I downloaded and installed open composite and that helped some.  The graphics are fuzzier than they were pre-patch but at least the frame rate is more playable and there's much less ghosting.

I don't even run with SS, been on zero for months. x4 AA is plenty. Been using OC and Tray Tool since I got the Rift too (nearly a year ago now).

Did your graphics take a hit with this last patch?  I had totally eliminated ghosting before this patch and now I have it.

My rig with a 6700k and a 1070ti (both overclocked a bit) might be too close to the threshold of being able to play in VR with this game.  I did have it working great, however, until this very last patch.  I am trying to pin down what changed.  Maybe it wasn't the patch, but something else.

As I mentioned somewhere above, yes. And I'm on an 8600k at 4.3ghz with a GTX1080ti. Prior to the latest update (introduction of the Arras map and then the hotfixes) I was getting almost zero instances of ghosting/smearing/stuttering; now they're frequent unfortunately.

Oops, sorry.  I forgot about your previous post.  Ok, thanks for the info.

I am having similar issues myself. It used to be very smooth but now I get inexplicable "stutter" in VR. I even tried moving my USB device (MS SWFFB2) to different ports as well as turning off FFB (Which has become very grainy with the latest polling frequency changes anyway), but have yet to resolve the stutter. It happens even on simple maps with not many buildings. Turning down graphics settings doesn't seem to completely resolve it either.
