Unfortunately not.

I've been hoping for realistic navigation systems since day one here.

Maybe one day, who knows.

Hans a nice day.

maybe, in old 1946 It was functional.

Yes it was, but there it was implemented years after the release by Team Daidalos.

So maybe one day they'll implement it here too. Maybe if ever we make it to the Pacific where navigation over water is virtually impossible without using insturments.

The instrument was used in conjunction with the radio if you remember from 1946. You received a signal and by that you knew where to point your course setter to and flew to that signal.

It was mostly used for homing, not so much for navigating to yer target.

For now, we can use landmarks mostly and you can select the Bendix instrument to navigate back to the closest base.

Have a nice day.

For PTO navigation for navy pilots was better ADF/NDB Navigation System, no?

Using Morse code.

BTW - The "course setter"  of P-51 repeater compass if functional  is useful for non radio navigation too, just keep needles aligned for follow the set HDG, specially in low visibility conditions:

Yes, I used it both in DCS and in IL2 1946.

Same goes for the course setter of the German planes.

I really hope we get control over them in the game one day

Have a nice day.
