stephenjdecatur Posted October 3, 2019 Posted October 3, 2019 I don't know if this has anything to do with the new patch, but after I got done checking my joystick mapping in preparation for a flight in the new Tempest I discovered that, after I hit F2, I had no external view. None of the F keys worked except F10, which made the view jump in small increments to the right. I tried reassigning F1 and F2, but this did nothing. Any thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance. Stephen Decatur Check your realism setting, just before you start flying - if the option "allow spectators" is not checked, you won't see anything except your cockpit view. So no externals, even if you reassign those F-keys 1000 times... 1
stephenjdecatur Posted October 3, 2019 Author Posted October 3, 2019 Thank you Therion for responding. Allow Spectators was checked, but now I cannot chose to "start" the mission, the game crashes. It locks up. Also, sometimes I run the game in a mode where I can still access my toolbar, but now my cursor refuses to show outside the Il-2 view. ???

Hope fully you have a Restore point or Boot Partition image backup. Else you could run sfc.exe in administrator command mode. Or try Windows Repair AIO, even the free version is quite good. Or FixWindows from the windows club. ------------ If that doesn't work check your keymapping settings for camera controls ... Occasionally i had some issues with keymappings due changing USB ports and keyboard drivers. Don't forget Accept. Edited October 3, 2019 by jollyjack added pics
