Trouble with spotting and track IR.

I've been having trouble with two issues. Planes keep disappearing before my eyes and I lose them. Sure this happened in CLOD and 1946, but this happens almost every encounter. First I'd like to know if people think that what I'm seeing is actually bad or not. Then I'd like to know if anyone has ideas about what graphics settings may help or if a different monitor may help.

My other issue is with my head position getting stuck when using track ir.

Sry for the watermark. I don't think it interferes with the points I'm trying to make. Last time I use that program.

Difficulty spotting planes at a distance. They disappear depending on the zoom I'm using. from 10 sec and especially at 25 seconds.
Plane attacking me at 2:28 top right....again in center at 2:32...didn't see him
Another planes briefly disappears then reappears at 2:56
3:35 head position stuck so that I can't see reticule.

So any ideas for new setting for graphics, a new monitor, or track IR profile changes?

THANKS ALL!!!!

Pop your dynamic resolution factor to full, it'll be killing res to help keep up frames.

Landscape filter doesn't do much either, may as well leave it off.

This problem might be related with the new draw distance feature in the current update - similar reports on this forum and I did the same
observation too. We all hope they will tweak this a little bit.

Now concerning your spotting abilities and comparing your in game graphic settings, I can see one or two points that will help you spotting

better. Here are my suggestions:

All settings marked with an X will not help you spotting better, in contrary it might even worsen it. So here are some points to consider:

- Shadow quality is important, but not necessary on ULTRA - drains your performance

- Horizon draw distance: set it to 100 km and you won't have performance issues

- Landscape filter: set it to BLURRED - this will help you a lot spotting enemies!

- Grass qualitiy: ULTRA is ridiculous for a flight sim. Set it to NORMAL and every thing is fine and you gain performance

- With the changes I suggested above, you can set the dynamic resolution factor to FULL

- SSAO and HDR are real performance killers and do not help in spotting.

Hope this helps.
