v4.002s Repair/Rearm/Refuel Explained

Is there a maximum range that the repair zone can be set at? I changed mine from 75m to 3000m but the radius only seems to be about 700-800m. Even tried 10,000m and it was still the same. I want my entire airbase to be a RRR zone.

Why not just put a couple more gmc trucks around the field at various points to achieve your goal of the entire base being a RRR zone?

Well that's what I'm doing but it doesn't answer my question.

Can confirm Repair/Rearm/Refuel (RRR) works in v4.002

II. At the Service Area...(for players)

The default keys are:

  • RCtrl+A - Rearm
  • RCtrl+F - Refuel

1.Entering

Technochat will notify you when you are in service area (Right picture). Once here you can perform all RRRs

  • "You are in service area, stop and turn the engine off

2. Repair

Automatic and instantaneous. You simply need to be inside the radius. Technochat notifies you of the part being repaired. If wounded, your pilot will be healed as well. This does not apply to gunners. A KIA Pilot will not be revived.

3. Refuel

Initiated by pressing refuel key (RCtrl+F by default)

4. Rearm.

Press the Rearm key (RCtrl+A by default) and Technochat will notify you rearming begins.

Some important things to note:

  • You cannot change skins.
  • You cannot change loadout. (You can choose to stop rearm at any time so in a way, you can "change" your loadout)
  • You cannot defuel
  • Signal Flares do not get rearmed.
  • Gunners do not get rearmed.
  • For fighters, if no more ammo, once rearmed, press 'Reload all guns' (LAlt+R by default) key to reload
  • KIA do not get revived.

Hope this helps and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask !

Only having Tank Crew at the moment, I am hoping that you can answer a few questions I have.

To start, after reading the thread, do I understand correctly that technochat is something that can be turned off/on? How do you do that?  I went through all 8 groups of key bindings,  and didn't find anything related to technochat except for the "ENTER" and "Clt + ENTER" keys that are used to open the chat/vehicle status system screen and send in-game messages. I get all the multicolored repair, rearm, refuel icons on the right margin of the screen, but I don't get the message "You are in the service area, stop and turn off engine". Is there a setting for that?

Do you know if there is a way to replace dead crew members? Some people on the Tank Crew forum have said that KIA crew members are getting replaced on entering the RRR zone. Like the information in your post, I have only seen crew members that are injured/damaged getting healed, but I have never seen a KIA crew member replaced. In the top left hand corner of the chat/vehicle status system screen there are 6 white icons, one of them says "Crew Replacement" or something like that with mouseover. They are not clickable, and don't seem to do anything. Is this a feature that hasn't been implemented yet, or do they have a function?

When I enter an RRR zone, all repairs, refueling, rearming, and healing happen automatically and almost instantly without LAlt + R, and LAlt + F keys. Was this automated in a recent update and we no longer need to use the LAlt + keys?

Lastly, what I am seeing in the mission editor is a max time input for RRR/heal of 100 seconds, but regardless of what I put, all RRR/heal happen almost instantly. Have you heard about any updates for this feature in the pipeline? It seems to me that a lot of people have left comments thinking this feature takes away from the realism of the game because it might make someone immortal. Crew replacement was a regular occurrence in war time. But I see this feature as an absolute must have for realism as long as the time input used with the feature works. And the max time input would also need to be increased. It would make more sense if mission editors could vary the time it takes for each process to complete. Rearm/refuel maybe 60 seconds; depending on the extent of the damage, repair could be several minutes. Heal/replace could be somewhere in between. Coupled with the right scheme to control the number of respawns allowed, this would help to address the argument of immortality.

You need to be in the commanders seat, stop the tank and open the hatch for the RRR function to work. Look for the repairs (tracks, etc...) to take up to several minutes to complete.

If that doesn't work then check the vehicle that you are using for the RRR function.

I tried to put a RRR spot on a friendly airfield.

I’ve put three trucks on a parking area where my plane have to stop.

I’ve put on one truck 30 on Rearm, on another 30 on Refuel and the last one Repair.

I’ve put a 15 m circle around to start the process, equivalent to the parking size.

What else I have to do ?
Nothing happen so far

The plane needs to have engines off, and then click the RRR corresponding button.

So when I design the mission what is mandatory and only that, is a truck with RRR implementations in the advanced properties. Right?

The truck needs to be activated (enabled checkbox) and have a radius and number for RRR.

I'd suggest a much bigger radius than 15m, start with 50 or so. 15 is really tiny for in-game scale

Thank you so much

Hi, I wanted help setting up a supply area. I created a simple mission with my plane parked and an Opel truck nearby for refueling but when I try to request refueling or fuel CTRL A nothing happens I set rearm and repair multifliper time to 2 and maintenance radius to 100 same nationality even if in the mission my plane is red and the truck is blue

missione Ivo.rar

missione Ivo.zip

I have lost to set the spoter radius now finally works ?

Multiplayer if the server operators use maps with them placed. They won't be in Career mode or QMB/AQMB. Custom missions if anyone placed them.
