Anybody knows if there will be a playable demo?

I remember FSX had one and it was useful to see how well the computer could handle it.

It's $1 right now for Xbox Game Pass for the first month. Not sure if it will be the same price in August, but the normal price is $5. That would be a good way to test for cheap.

Good info, thank you!

The big question is ... will there be Trackir support? I'm an MS FS 2020 alpha tester, but since there is no trackir or vr support, I hardly touched it. Beautiful graphics or not (and yes, it is gorgeous!), it's as if you have been teleported to the nineties! Using thumb stick to look around....ugghhh!

So, $59.99, $89.99, $119.99 USD, for the three versions (20, 25 & 30 aircraft, 30, 35 & 40 'handcrafted international airports'). Not bad. Even the standard version has a nice mix of aircraft, though I had to Google a couple. I shall definitely be preordering, though I'm not sure yet which to go for.

I've seen elsewhere people complaining about the pricing but it all seems very reasonable to me for a high fidelity sim. Civilian flight sims aren't my cup of tea but it looks pretty stunning visually.

An engineer on the TrackIR forums confirmed upcoming support, it seems:

Hope they add VR support at some point down the line, I will not be purchasing until if and when they do.

Will the super-mega-pro pack come with a random virus that puts half the virtual airlines into administration, too?

If not, then that's not realistic for a 2020 flight-simulator...

Hey it is nice to see the standard edition to be $59.99 USD! (was expecting $10-$20 more) - idk if that was original plan or it is a reflection of taking into account the global economy right now, but pleasantly surprised. ?

if this was an old school flight sim it would ship to your house with a 20lb paper manual and it would solve both your flight sim and toilet paper problems at once.

/I never played Falcon 4 but from the look of the manual it would pass for 2-ply in a pinch

There will be DLC where you can start a GoFundMe to fuel up your airbus.

Microsoft hasn't existed for so long by not knowing how to make money.

I am interested in seeing how the non-"hand-crafted" airports look though. Especially since I'm not a big fan of the big airliners and like hopping about onto smaller airports in prop planes.

Yeah I will watch what I get with the bug one. And see if I can do with standard

Yep 3 of those extra planes are cool. Need the big pack

Do we know how detailed the aircraft are? Full fidelity? partial systems? basic stick and throttle? I'm exited for this but there is no way I'm getting the big package until I know exactly what we are getting.

Tycoon, just like all the franchise before it,  I'm guessing the study-sim level planes will all be produced by third parties.

I greatly like the 787-10 and the Citation Longitude, so that's why I'm leaning towards Premium.

From what I can remember of the older ones this should still be pretty good, assuming you're leaving out microsoft flight. So they have confirmed there will be 3rd party? have they said which ones?

"Play Microsoft Flight Simulator and over 100 more high-quality PC games on Windows 10 for one low monthly price with Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta)."

So, what's the added monthly cost for this XBox Game Pass for PC?

Christmas came early this year! Boy, I was waiting for this.

Wow!  Is that Innsbruck at the start?  This is sixty bucks?:)  I guess that means I'll take a pass on the imminent release of Fun in the Sun with the Hun.

Insta-buy. Just wish they would get the finger out to support TrackIR. I get that VR implementation could be hard but TrackIR should be trivial to get in there. Hope it's there for release in August but I wouldn't be optimistic at this point.

Yup, included in the Standard edition. They seem to be working hard on the popular airports. Those mountains are just amazing.

I am very disappointed they did not make the caravan. I really liked flying that plane.

I'm buying the biggest fattest version possible.

I'm not sure I understood the options though, is there a way to buy it now and fly the beta now?

You need to sign up for the insider program and then be chosen by Microsoft. I haven't been chosen - I think it's pretty competitive.

Ahhhh. Thanks. No, I won't try for the beta.

But I'm buying the super deluxe enchilada version. I don't really care about the planes, I just want those airports.

Honestly $1 to try it out for a month on launch is a pretty good deal, hopefully that means they have confidence it will be a good product that people will want to buy.

Also for you guys buying the premium edition for airports wouldn't it be better to wait and see what the standard version of the airports looks like? From what we have seen in videos the non special airports look pretty good as well.

As a highly qualified and fully accredited map slut, I want every blade of grass, every painted door handle, and every bit of garbage on the ground this sim has to offer.

I think the HD airports will look great.

Well, good luck. Didn't they say that they have 2,000 TB of data that comprise the sim? I hope you have a lot of free space.
