adler_1 Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 hello How do you make your map show all the planes irrespective of distance ? for example the enemy planes taking off as far as 50km away ? right now i see the enemy only when they are very close maybe 2-3 km away on the map .
616Sqn_SpocksOddSocks Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 (edited) You could potentially add a vehicle in the mission as a "spotter" and give it a radius that encompasses the entire map. (I'm not entirely sure if there's a maximum spotting distance as I haven't actually tried this). Edited September 29, 2019 by SpocksOddSocks 1
adler_1 Posted September 29, 2019 Author Posted September 29, 2019 (edited) i am finding the default distance too little for checking missions . never tried a spotter , will give it a go . TKS tip Edited September 29, 2019 by dog1
Alonzo Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Max Spotter radius is 50km. Here are a bunch of fake vehicle objects that are sprinkled round the map, they are indestructible and not engageable (AI will ignore them). This should give you full coverage as you test your mission (move them to the right spot on your map). Remember to select them all and set enabled "false" once you have finished the mission, or your players will get full spotting too! https://www.dropbox.com/s/nohewhmh0dyz4p9/AI-spotters.zip?dl=0 1
adler_1 Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 Spocks Alonzo Thank you for tips and links , i tried the spotter at max 65000 and it works perfectly , Alonzo , Thank you for the ghost vehicles set , this helps a lot in avoiding confusion in mission building . 1
adler_1 Posted October 1, 2019 Author Posted October 1, 2019 (edited) ALONZO hello , Do i create a template folder or groups folder and place the 7 files in there under data ? Edited October 2, 2019 by dog1
jollyjack Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 I am trying to get an enemy Ai flight to show on the (pilot) map in the game ... is that the spotter ?
Habu Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 (edited) The spotter is the ability to display on the map what the spotter plane see in the spotter area. For what you want, you have to see in the dificulty settings. Edited October 11, 2019 by Habu 1

Habu Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 When you want to run a mission, you have a button Normal/expert/Custom. Select custom and choose what you want. 1

Ah, in the Game, not in the FMB (editor). Ii use custom, and HUB on etc in the game thus. I meant how to get the mission translator Icons (they work partly) but especially, the various planes and the route visible on the pilots map when you play the game after saving the FMB lot, thus when editing a (newly made) mission in the FMB.
Habu Posted October 11, 2019 Posted October 11, 2019 Translator icon is static. Have a look on that post, it will help you
