Setting ships

I'm trying to make a simple training mission attacking a ship in Kuban map. I set a ship, but it doesn't move. On YouTube I've found some very good tutorials but no one dealing with setting ships. Where can I find a complete manual to solve this problem?

Pretty much everything is in there. 

 

Ships shouldn't be that much different to move than tanks or trucks, but I understand there are issues with setting them as formations.
