Heavy Forward Stick

Recommended Posts

Been a long time since I've played RoF, just picked up FC and I'd forgotten how much forward stick pressure these planes required. Anyone have any tips for dealing with this other than "get good noob"? I play full real settings, have about 1000 hours in IL2 BoX so I know my way around (no ace tho). Anyway, I'm running an x52 pro and this forward stick pressure is killin me, any tips would be great!

FC is fantastic by the way, can't wait for the map next week.

If your flying the SE5a or Bristol you can adjust the horizontal stabilizer.  Any other plane either your either going have to deal with it or pull back on the throttle.

Nice! Didn't even know that was an option in these old birds, thanks for that!

Really wish they would give us the ROF curves but they are saying "no dice". Get those Popeye arms going. You can use a program like Joystick DiView to re set the center but you lose some of the travel and have to re do it whenever you switch from WWI to WWII and if you set it for the DR1 all your other planes will be diving.

Lol, that’s the only FC aircraft I haven’t tried yet. In RoF it always felt like a super posh, classic cigar boat with wings, could never get past that. I’ll give it a spin tomorrow and see if the refresh has gotten her further from expensive wooden boat and closer to rugged war horse.

Haha, perhaps. Feels more like a train and goes where you point it...mostly ?

With some (looking at you, Albatros), it is currently even a necessity!
