IckyATLAS Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Here some other pictures. The CAF airplanes, three T6 racing entering the valley of speed, and the Thunderbirds with a final kiss with love from Reno. Reno is just 7 hours from Las Vegas by car. So I finished my trip in Vegas. Just a view from my hotel room 1
Gambit21 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Was a good time. Cloud deck on Sunday meant that we got the Thunderbirds “low” show which I think is better.

In fact I assisted at the training on Friday, full show Saturday and low show on Sunday. The heart in the sky was on Saturday only.
Gambit21 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Yes I saw the normal show on Saturday, which is why I was grateful for the “low” and still plenty full show on Sunday. A few more high speed flybys by the solos which is my favorite.
Heliopause Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Always nice to see pics of the Reno air races! I was there in '99. Time sure flies ...
Hoss Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 If anyone around the Fresno, Visalia, Bakerfield area there is an Airshow at Lemoore Naval Air Station tomorrow 21 Sept, it starts at 0930, but get there earlier. And yes the Blue Angels will be the final flight. Confederate Air Force will be there doing their WWII re-enactment. VFA-122 will be doing a F/A-18 demo and VFA-125 will be doing a F-35 demo. Cheers Hoss
IckyATLAS Posted September 21, 2019 Author Posted September 21, 2019 (edited) This figure was during the high show, with the center solo piercing the flower in a long vertical climb to 15'000 feet. Some other figures Edited September 21, 2019 by IckyATLAS
